Find the Help You Need

Two services can help you find whatever help is available ANYWHERE in the country.  They are:

  •  the Area Agencies on Aging (often called the county Office for the Aging)
  • 2-1-1 (a free and confidential  United Way service that helps people  find local resources

    • Services include caregiver support, chronic disease self management, heating assistance, expanded in-home service, insurance counseling, transportation, legal assistance and more!
  • NY Connects for Niagara County  (716) 438-3030
    •  offers information and assistance, education and screening to individuals, their families and/or caregivers, as well as people employed in helping service professions.
    • assist Niagara County residents in making informed choices regarding long term care needs for seniors, adults and children
    • visit the NY Connects Resource Directory for services in other parts of New York State
  • Family Caregiving Essentials – A free, excellent conference on November 11th at the UB Center for Tomorrow, organized by the Erie County Caregivers Coalition.  Please download a flyer or register here.
